王俊堯博士於1994年畢業於國立台北工專電子科，並於2002年獲得國立交通大學電子工程研究所博士學位。 自2003年開始，他便任職於國立清華大學資訊工程學系，從助理教授開始，現在是該系的特聘教授。 他的研究興趣包括VLSI/SoC設計自動化、新興技術的邏輯合成與優化、人工智慧（AI）模型的硬體優化、以及硬體安全。 他在這些領域已發表超過120篇學術論文，並擁有10項專利。 他的其中一項研究成果曾獲得2010年【IEEE/ACM設計自動化會議】的最佳論文提名，該會議是全球最頂尖的電子設計自動化會議，當年607篇投稿論文中僅有10篇（約1.6%）獲此提名。 此外，他還獲得了2018年【IEEE國際VLSI-DAT研討會最佳論文獎】、2018年【IEEE台北分會最佳論文指導獎】、2018年、2023年【中華民國資訊學會資訊領域最佳碩士論文指導獎】、2022年【中華民國資訊學會資訊領域最佳博士論文指導獎】、2022年【中國電機工程學會青年論文獎第二名、第三名指導獎】。 2007年，王教授獲得國立清華大學電機資訊學院的【傑出教學獎】，並於2008年、2013年、和2016年獲得國立清華大學的【傑出教學獎】， 每年僅有約650位清華大學教授中的10至12位能夠獲得此殊榮。 於2016年並同時獲頒【教師榮譽教學獎】，這是國立清華大學教師的教學最高榮譽。 2009年，他獲得中國電機工程學會頒發的【優秀青年電機工程師獎章】。 2010年和2014年，他分別在賓夕法尼亞州立大學（PSU）和伊利諾大學香檳分校（UIUC）擔任訪問教授，這些短期訪問的背後是得到了中華民國國家科學及技術委員會的支持。 2011年，他獲得了中華民國國家科學及技術委員會的【優秀青年學者研究計畫】。 2013年，他獲得台灣積體電路設計學會的【優秀年輕學者獎】。 2018年和2025年，他獲得國立清華大學的【傑出導師獎】； 2020年，他獲得中國電機工程學會的【傑出電機工程教授獎】。 2023年，他榮獲中華民國教育部的【師鐸獎】，這是中華民國教師的最高榮譽，並由蔡英文總統於中山樓親自頒獎。 2024年，他還獲得了中華民國資訊學會的【李國鼎磐石獎】，同年亦榮獲了中華民國資訊月的【傑出資訊人才獎】，並獲賴清德總統於總統府接見。2025年，他也獲得了中華民國資訊學會的【李國鼎穿石獎】。 此外，王教授所指導的研究生在全球著名的【CAD Contest@ICCAD】競賽中，共獲得了24次的獎項，尤其是在2018年、2022年、2023年和2025年均獲得該競賽的冠軍。 另外，他所指導的研究生也獲得了2024年【CADathlon Contest@ICCAD】競賽的銀牌和2025年【CADathlon Contest@ICCAD】競賽的金牌，替國立清華大學與台灣爭光。 Dr. Chun-Yao Wang received the Ph. D. degree from the Department of Electronics Engineering, National Chiao Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan, in 2002. Since 2003, he has been an Assistant Professor with the Department of Computer Science, National Tsing Hua University, Hsinchu, where he is currently a Distinguished Professor. His research interests include logic synthesis and optimization for VLSI/SoC designs and emerging technologies, hardware optimization for Artificial Intelligent (AI) model, and hardware security. He has published over 120 technical papers in these areas and is a named inventor in 10 patents. One of his research results was nominated as the Best Paper in the 2010 IEEE/ACM Design Automation Conference, which is the world’s leading technical conference on electronic design and design automation. Only 10 out of 607 submissions, or 1.6%, were nominated. He was also the recipients of 2018 IEEE International Symposium on VLSI-DAT Best Paper Award and 2018 IEEE Taipei Section Best Thesis Advisor Award. In 2007, Dr. Chun-Yao Wang received the Distinguished Teaching Award from the College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, National Tsing Hua University. In 2008, 2013, and 2016, he was also awarded the Distinguished Teaching Award from National Tsing Hua University. Only 10 to 12 out of about 650 faculties in National Tsing Hua University can be awarded per year. In 2009, he was awarded the Excellent Young Electrical Engineer Medal from The Chinese Institute of Electrical Engineering. In 2010 and 2014, he was a visiting professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, the Pennsylvania State University (PSU) and the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) under research projects supported by Ministry of Science and Technology Taiwan, respectively. In 2011, he was granted the Excellent Young Scholar Research Project supported by National Science Council, Taiwan. In 2013, he was awarded the Distinguished Young Scholar Award from The Taiwan IC Design Society. In 2018 and 2025, he was awarded the Distinguished Mentor Award from National Tsing Hua University. In 2020, he was awarded the Distinguished Electrical Engineering Professor Award from The Chinese Institute of Electrical Engineering. In 2023, he was awarded the National Excellent Teacher Award (師鐸獎) of Ministry of Education (MOE), Taiwan. In 2024, he was awarded K. T. Li Cornerstone Award of Institute of Information & Computing Machinery, Taiwan. He was also awarded Outstanding Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Elite Award, Taiwan, in the same year. His graduate students also won awards in the CAD Contest@ICCAD for 24 times. Especially, the first place award in the CAD Contest@ICCAD 2018, 2022, 2023, 2025. Finally, his graduate students also earned second place, and first place awards in the CADathlon Contest@ICCAD 2024, 2025, respectively.
